WWOOF & Volunteering @ CastleView

 

 

 

WOOF UK is a membership charity, teaching people about organic growing and low-impact lifestyles through hands-on experience in the UK.

 

We joined WWOOF in 2014 and have already enjoyed the families and single people that have stayed at CastleView helping with the various projects on site.  

 

You dont have to be a member of WWOOF to volunteer, just contact us via the email below for further details on how you could support CastleView Vacations.

 

We ask for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, (but this is flexible depending on what is required/weather/length of stay etc). In exchange we provide you with your own accommodation and meals.

 
 

Tasks might include, depending on season & your experiences;

• General maintenance / housekeeping on tent turnarounds

• Livestock maintenance/paddock upkeep/stable building

• Horse care/schooling

• Kitchen gardening

• Orchard upkeep

• Grass cutting

• Copsing, gathering firewood/chopping wood

• Control of Brambles/nettles

• Fencing/brick wall building

• Cooking

• Laundry/Ironing

 

What you get;

• All meals provided for (Dinner is an optional shared experience)

• Stay onsite either camping or in a caravan

• Learn new skills

• Share your experiences with us

• Time to yourself to relax

You must be 18 or over and in good health (there's lots of physical work) and have motivation to want to make a change!

Families may come, over 18 must each give 25 hours of work.
